- The T-72B1 (2022) is a Main Battle Tank and an upgraded T-72B variant that retains the base hull and turret while adding improved powerplant, thermal optics, and an upgraded autoloader. The T-72B entered Soviet service in the mid-1980s; the B1 designation originally indicated a version without the 9K120 Svir ATGM system, and later modernizations such as the 2022 configuration have added thermals and the ChTZ V-92S2F engine. Crewed by three, the 46-tonne tracked vehicle develops 1,130 horsepower for a 24.6 hp/t ratio and a top speed of about 61 km/h.
The stabilized 125mm 2A46M is fed by an autoloader (3BM59 APFSDS, 3BK18M HEAT, 3OF26 HE) and is served by a laser rangefinder, fire control system, 8x optical sight, and a Gen 1 thermal sight. A coaxial 7.62mm PKT and a commander's 12.7mm NSVT provide secondary fire; smoke grenades and engine smoke are available. This vehicle features a single addon: Anti-Drone Cage. The Anti-Drone Cage addon costs 150 points and equips the vehicle with a reinforced steel structure, commonly referred to as a "cope cage", over the turret. This overhead protection is designed to prematurely detonate or deflect munitions dropped from drones, providing a vital layer of security against FPV's.
