- The Leopard 2A4 is a Main Battle Tank and the most numerous production variant of the German Leopard 2, in service since the mid-1980s with the Bundeswehr and many NATO and allied nations. It introduced a welded turret with improved armour and the 120mm Rh120 L/44 as standard. In-game it is a 55.4 t tracked vehicle crewed by four. The MTU MB 873 Ka-501 diesel produces 1,500 hp for 27.1 hp/t and 72 km/h forward (31 km/h reverse), with neutral steering and an automatic transmission.
Main armament is the 120mm Rh120 L/44 with DM12 and DM33, plus a coaxial and loader’s 7.62mm MG3. The gunner has a laser rangefinder, FCS with lead, and Gen 1 green thermals at 12x; the commander has a laser CITV at 2x and 8x. The turret is stabilised and carries smoke grenades. This Vehicle features two addons: 2A4N Conversion and 2A4V Conversion. The 2A4N costs 250 points and provides a light utility buff by adding extra smoke grenade launchers and an armored MG3 mount for the commander. The 2A4V costs 2,500 points and significantly increases survivability and lethality; it reinforces the hull and turret with Kontakt-1 ERA, rubber flaps, and cage armor, while completely replacing the ammunition suite with DM53A1 APFSDS (Incendiary/Anti-ERA), M1028 Canister Shot, and specialized IM HE-T PD rounds. The 2A4N Conversion and 2A4V Conversion cannot be used together.
