The T-55 is a Main Battle Tank and the successor to the T-54, entering Soviet service in 1958 and becoming one of the most produced tanks in history with tens of thousands built and exported. Designed at the Kharkiv Morozov design bureau, it introduced a nuclear-biological-chemical protection system, improved engine, and a redesigned turret while retaining the 100mm D-10 family of guns. The 36-tonne tracked vehicle is crewed by four and powered by a ChTZ V-55V diesel rated at 580 horsepower, giving 16.1 hp/t and a top speed of 50 km/h.
Main armament is the stabilized 100mm D-10TS2 with 3.5x and 7x magnification (no laser rangefinder); secondary weapons are a coaxial 7.62mm PKT and a loader-operated 12.7mm DSHK. The T-55 has an engine smoke system and no FCS or APS, relying on manual rangefinding and stabilizer-assisted firing on the move.
This vehicle features two addon: T-55 Enigma and External Fuel Tanks. The T-55 Enigma addon costs 750 points and equips the T-55 with a comprehensive suite of additional composite armor blocks across the turret (sides and rear), as well as the hull's Upper Frontal Plate (UFP), Lower Frontal Plate (LFP), and sides. This "Enigma" package significantly enhances the tank's survivability against shaped-charge warheads and early ATGMs. The External Fuel Tanks addon is free and adds decorative fuel barrels to the rear of the hull for a more authentic battlefield appearance.
