The SU-85M is a Tank Destroyer, a Soviet assault gun that combined the improved hull of the T-34-85 with the 85mm D-5S gun in a fixed casemate; it served from 1944 as a stopgap until the SU-100 entered production. In-game it is a tracked vehicle weighing 31.6 tonnes, crewed by four — driver, gunner, commander, and loader. The Model V-2-34 diesel produces 500 hp for 15.8 hp/t and 55 km/h.
Armament is the 85mm D-5S only — no machine guns — with a simple 2.5x telescope sight and no stabilizer or FCS. The vehicle trades anti-infantry capability for a lower profile and respectable anti-armour performance.
