- The M36B2 Jackson is a Tank Destroyer that mounts the same 90 mm M3 gun and open turret as the M36 Jackson on a diesel-powered hull. The B2 designation reflects the use of the GM 6046 twin-diesel engine (as on the M4A2 Sherman), giving improved range and simplifying logistics in late-war and post-war use.
