- Description
- The Jagdtiger is a Tank Destroyer, the heaviest armoured fighting vehicle of the Second World War, mounting a 128mm PaK 44 in a fixed casemate on an extended Tiger II chassis. Only about 70 were built; the gun could defeat any Allied tank at long range, but the 75-tonne vehicle was slow and mechanically fragile. In-game it is a tracked vehicle weighing 75.2 tonnes with a crew of five, powered by the MB HL230 P30 (Tiger II) engine producing 600 horsepower for 8 hp/t and 42 km/h forward.
The main armament is the 128 mm PaK 44 with PzGr 43 and Sprgr. L/5 and a 19.29-second reload; the loader has a grenade mortar for smoke and the bow gunner a 7.92mm MG34. The commander turret is stabilized. The gunner uses a 10x telescope with no rangefinder.
