- Description
- The IT-1 is an Anti Tank Missile Carrier, a Soviet design that mounted the 3M7 Drakon (Dragon) ATGM system in a fully enclosed turret on a T-62 chassis. It entered limited service in the late 1960s as one of the first dedicated tank-based ATGM vehicles; the gun was removed in favour of a missile-only armament. In-game it is a tracked vehicle weighing 34.5 tonnes with a crew of three, powered by a ChTZ V-55V diesel producing 580 horsepower for 16.8 hp/t and 50 km/h forward.
The main armament is the 3M7 Drakon with a 10-second reload and 12 rounds in the turret; a coaxial 7.62mm PKT provides close defense. The gunner and commander turrets are stabilized, and the vehicle has an engine smoke system. The gunner sight has an 8x FCS with no rangefinder or thermals.
