- The VT4 is a Main Battle Tank designed by China North Industries (Norinco) for export, offering modern protection, fire control, and mobility to customers who do not operate the domestic Type 99/ZTZ99 series; it has been sold to Thailand, Nigeria, and Pakistan. In-game it is a tracked vehicle weighing 52 tonnes with a crew of three — driver, gunner, and commander — and is powered by a VT/E1 diesel producing 1,300 horsepower for 25 hp/t and a top speed of 70 km/h forward and 17 km/h backward, with neutral steering and an automatic gearbox.
Main armament is the stabilized 125mm Type 99A cannon with an autoloader, plus a coaxial 7.62mm Type 86 and a commander’s 12.7mm QJC88A machine gun. The turret is fitted with a laser rangefinder, fire control system with lead and tracking, Gen 2 white thermals, 6x/10x zoom, laser warning system, missile approach warning system, smoke grenades, and an engine smoke system. This vehicle features two addons: VT4A1 and Side Armour Package. The VT4A1 addon costs 1,000 points and equips the tank with the GL5 Active Protection System (APS); this system utilises two launchers positioned on either side of the turret, each carrying two charges, to provide comprehensive 360-degree protection against incoming chemical energy (CE) rounds and ATGMs. Additionally, the Side Armour Package costs 500 points and reinforces the vehicle's flanks by mounting ERA to the hull sides and slat armour near the rear, offering significantly enhanced durability against portable anti-tank weapons and guided missiles.
