- The Type 87 is a Self Propelled Anti Aircraft vehicle — the Japanese SPAAG built on a modified Type 74 chassis and entering JGSDF service in 1987, armed with twin 35 mm Oerlikon guns and a fire control system for engaging low-level aircraft and helicopters. In-game it is a tracked vehicle weighing 38 tonnes with a crew of three — driver, gunner, and commander — and features full active suspension (ride height, lateral roll, and pitch). The MHI 10ZF 22WT diesel produces 750 horsepower for 19.7 hp/t and a top speed of 53 km/h forward and 7.4 km/h backward, with neutral steering.
