- The T-64E is a Main Battle Tank and an export-oriented modernization of the T-64, adding heavy auxiliary armament and improved sights to the Ukrainian-upgraded chassis. The T-64 family was developed in Kharkiv and saw extensive service with Soviet and later Ukrainian forces; the E (export) variant was offered with optional Duplet ERA and a formidable mix of cannon and machine guns for urban and anti-infantry roles. Crewed by three, the 45-tonne tracked vehicle is powered by an HPZ 5TDFM diesel (850 hp, 18.9 hp/t) and reaches 61 km/h.
Main armament is a stabilized 125mm 2A46M-1 with autoloader (3BM42 APFSDS, 9M112 Kobra ATGM, 3BK18M HEAT, 3OF26 HE), with a laser rangefinder, FCS with lead, 3.9x–9x optical sight, and a Gen 2 thermal sight. The gunner also has a 30mm AGS-17 grenade launcher and a 12.7mm NSVT; the commander's station mounts a 23mm GSh-23L autocannon. Smoke grenades and engine smoke are fitted; the commander has a thermal CITV with 1x–12x zoom.
