- Description
- The PzH-2000 is a Self-Propelled Howitzer, the German Panzerhaubitze 2000 that entered service in the late 1990s and is one of the most capable NATO 155 mm systems, with a high rate of fire and long range. In-game it is a tracked vehicle weighing 57 tonnes with a crew of five — driver, gunner, commander, loader, and one passenger. The MTU MT881 Ka-500 diesel produces 1,000 horsepower (17.5 hp/t) for 62 km/h in both directions with neutral steering and an automatic gearbox.
The 155mm L62 howitzer has a 3.14 s reload and a wide selection of charges and projectile types (including DM121 and DM702A1). The gunner has smoke grenades and an FCS with laser rangefinder and 8x zoom; the commander’s sight offers 2x–8x with laser.
