- The M113 is an Armoured Personnel Carrier that became one of the most widely used tracked armored vehicles of the Cold War and beyond. First fielded by the United States in the early 1960s, it has been produced in the tens of thousands and adopted by dozens of nations for troop transport, command posts, and specialized variants. The baseline APC is crewed by a driver and commander with room for seven passengers, weighs 12.3 tonnes, and is fully amphibious at 4 km/h. A 6V53 diesel delivers 212 horsepower for 17.2 hp/t and a top speed of 64 km/h.
The commander operates a stabilized 12.7mm M2 machine gun from an open cupola for self-defense and overwatch. Light aluminum armour protects against small arms and shell splinters; the vehicle relies on mobility and swimming capability to avoid heavier threats. This vehicle features three addons: Gunner Armour, Supplies and Wooden Bed. The Gunner Armor addon costs 100 points and equips the 12.7mm M2 machine gun with protective plating, shielding the operator from small arms fire. The Supplies addon is free and mounts ammunition crates and jerrycans onto the rear hatch, allowing the vehicle to act as a mobile resupply point for allied forces. Finally, the Wooden Bed addon is also free and installs a reinforced wooden platform on the rear hatch; this modification provides the necessary structural support for mounting heavy placeables, such as the SPG-9 recoilless rifle or the 122mm D-30 howitzer. The Supplies and Wooden Bed addons can not be used together.
