- The M1126 is an Armoured Personnel Carrier and the baseline infantry carrier of the Stryker family of 8×8 wheeled combat vehicles, fielded by the United States from the 2000s for rapid deployment and urban operations. It carries a full squad plus crew while staying within C-130 transport limits. Crewed by a driver, gunner, and commander with space for eight passengers, it weighs 16.5 tonnes and is powered by a Caterpillar 3126 diesel producing 350 horsepower for 21.2 hp/t and 96 km/h.
The gunner operates a stabilized 12.7mm M2 in a remote weapon station (CROWS) with a fire control system, lead and tracking, and Gen 2 thermals. Smoke grenades and optional slat armour and Javelin mounts are available; the vehicle relies on speed and situational awareness rather than heavy armour. This vehicle features three addons: Javelin, Slat and Windshield. The Javelin addon costs 1,500 points and equips the gunner's CROWS station with the FGM-148F Javelin Fire-and-Forget (FNF) missile; this transforms the Stryker into a credible anti-tank threat by utilizing a "top-attack" flight profile and boasting 780 mm of maximum penetration. The Slat addon costs 250 points and surrounds the hull with specialized cage armor, providing enhanced protection against HEAT warheads and early-generation ATGMs. Finally, the Windshield addon costs 50 points and installs a protective glass shield for the driver, offering a minor boost to visibility and safety while operating with the hatch open.
