The M1117 ASV (Armored Security Vehicle) is an Armoured Personnel Carrier with a purpose-built, mine-resistant hull, developed for U.S. military police and internal security missions. It entered service in the late 1990s and was used in Iraq and Afghanistan for convoy escort and area security. The wheeled vehicle is crewed by a driver, gunner, commander, and two passengers, weighs 11 tonnes, and is amphibious at 4 km/h. A 6CTA8.3 diesel produces 270 horsepower for 24.5 hp/t and a top speed of 89 km/h.
The gunner operates a 40mm MK-19 grenade launcher and a 12.7mm M2 machine gun in a turret with smoke grenades and 2x–3.5x sights. The V-hull and armored cab improve protection against mines and small arms while keeping weight low for air transport and road mobility.
This vehicle features a single addon: Airdrop. The Airdrop addon costs 2,000 points and allows the vehicle to deploy at almost any location on the map, enabling flanking maneuvers or the capture of distant enemy objectives.
