- Description
- The Leclerc S21 is a Main Battle Tank and an evolution of the French Leclerc, with the S21 standard introducing improved optics, connectivity, and ammunition. The Leclerc entered service in the early 1990s and remains in use with France and the UAE. In-game it weighs 56.2 tonnes with a three-man crew (driver, gunner, commander) thanks to an autoloader. The V8X-1500 diesel produces 1,500 hp for 26.7 hp/t and 72 km/h (38 km/h reverse). Main armament is the 120mm GIAT CN120-26 F1 with OFL 120 F1, OCC 120 G1, OE 120 F1, and OEFC F1; a coaxial 12.7mm CRC F1 and commander’s 7.62mm A-A-F1N provide secondary fire. The gunner has a laser rangefinder, FCS with lead and tracking, and Gen 2 white thermals; the commander has a thermals-equipped CITV. The turret is stabilised and carries smoke grenades.
