- The Leclerc S21 is a Main Battle Tank and an evolution of the French Leclerc, with the S21 standard introducing improved optics, connectivity, and ammunition. The Leclerc entered service in the early 1990s and remains in use with France and the UAE. In-game it weighs 56.2 tonnes with a three-man crew (driver, gunner, commander) thanks to an autoloader. The V8X-1500 diesel produces 1,500 hp for 26.7 hp/t and 72 km/h (38 km/h reverse). Main armament is the 120mm GIAT CN120-26 F1 with OFL 120 F1, OCC 120 G1, OE 120 F1, and OEFC F1; a coaxial 12.7mm CRC F1 and commander’s 7.62mm A-A-F1N provide secondary fire. The gunner has a laser rangefinder, FCS with lead and tracking, and Gen 2 white thermals; the commander has a thermals-equipped CITV. The turret is stabilised and carries smoke grenades. This vehicle features two addons: Leclerc V2C 2010 and Leclerc XLR. The Leclerc V2C 2010 costs 1,500 points and equips the turret with the SPATEM APS (featuring four launchers with two charges each), providing full 360-degree active protection. It also adds protective rubber flaps to the LFP and completely overhauls the ammunition suite. The stock rounds are replaced by OFL 120 F2 DU APFSDS (Anti-ERA), M3M SAPHE (Semi-Armor Piercing High Explosive with Timed/HE fuzing), and the POLYNEGE OTA ATGM. The POLYNEGE utilizes a "top-attack" flight profile to strike the thinner roof armor of enemy vehicles with 150 mm of penetration. The Leclerc XLR addon costs 1,500 points and focuses on maximum survivability in high-threat environments. This package equips the tank with composite armor on the hull sides and slat armor across the rear turret and hull to defeat chemical energy threats. Crucially, the installation of an IED jammer—designed to neutralize remote explosives and C4—requires the complete removal of the hull ammunition rack. This reduces the total shell capacity from 42 to 22 rounds, but significantly increases overall survivability by eliminating the most vulnerable ammunition storage area. Offensively, the XLR is upgraded with SHARD® APFSDS (Anti-ERA) and M3M SAPHE, with the SHARD® round offering an appreciable 34 mm increase in maximum penetration over stock (589 mm to 623 mm). The package is rounded out with a CROWS remote weapon station for the commander utilizing a .50 cal and Gen 3 thermals for the gunner.
