The Lada is a Transport Vehicle based on the Soviet and Russian VAZ (Lada) family of passenger cars, used in many militaries as a lightweight utility and liaison vehicle. The in-game version represents a basic civilian-derived runabout. It weighs 1.1 tonnes and carries four — driver plus three passengers. The VAZ-2105 gasoline engine produces 63 hp for a very high 60 hp/t power-to-weight ratio, yielding a top speed of 150 km/h forward and 22 km/h in reverse. The vehicle is wheeled and unarmoured, with no weapons or defensive systems; it is suited to rapid movement and transport of personnel rather than combat.
This vehicle features a single addon: Lada 2017. The Lada 2017 addon costs 100 points and swaps the stock VAZ-2105 engine for the more powerful VAZ-2103 unit. This modification increases the engine output from 63 hp to 75 hp, subsequently boosting the power-to-weight ratio from 60 hp/t to 71.4 hp/t. While this provides a noticeable improvement in overall acceleration and climbing capability, it is balanced by a slight reduction in the engine's maximum operating range, with the redline dropping from 5600 RPM to 5400 RPM.
