- Description
- The KV-1E is a Heavy Tank, an up-armoured KV-1 variant; the “E” (Ekranami) suffix denotes appliqué armour plates added to the hull and turret. These vehicles were built in 1941 to improve protection against German anti-tank guns. In-game it is a tracked vehicle weighing 49 tonnes with a crew of five — driver, gunner, bow gunner, commander, and loader — and a V-2K diesel producing 600 horsepower for 12.2 hp/t and a top speed of 34 km/h.
The main armament is the 76mm F-34 with OF-350M and BR-350B and a 7-second reload; 7.62mm DT-28 machine guns are mounted coaxially and in the loader and bow positions. The loader and bow gunner turrets are stabilized. Sights are 2.5x telescope and periscope with no rangefinder.
