- The Kornet D GAZ Tigr is an Anti Tank Missile Carrier built on the GAZ Tigr 4×4 chassis, fielding the Russian 9M133 Kornet laser-beam-riding ATGM system. The Kornet family entered service in the 1990s and remains in widespread use; the D designation denotes a vehicle-mounted variant suitable for rapid deployment. Weighing 7.2 tonnes with a crew of two — driver and gunner — it is wheeled and powered by a YaMZ-5347-10 diesel producing 215 horsepower for a 29.9 hp/t power-to-weight ratio and a top speed of 140 km/h.
The main armament is the 9M133 Kornet launcher with a 4-second reload, carrying thermobaric and tandem HEAT rounds; the turret is stabilized and has smoke grenades. The gunner is served by a fire control system with lead and tracking, a laser rangefinder, and second-generation white-hot thermals with 6x–19x zoom on both left and right sights.
