- Description
- The IS-7 is a Heavy Tank, a late-1940s Soviet prototype that pushed the limits of armour, firepower, and weight; at 68 tonnes it was one of the heaviest tanks ever built. The design was cancelled in favour of lighter vehicles, but it influenced later Soviet heavy tanks. In-game it is a tracked vehicle with a crew of five (including one passenger seat), powered by an M50T diesel producing 1,050 horsepower for 15.4 hp/t and 60 km/h forward.
The main armament is the 130mm S-70 with OF-482M and BR-482B and a 10-second reload; secondary armament includes a coaxial 14.5mm KPVT and 7.62mm RP-46, a commander’s 14.5 mm KPVT, and a driver’s 7.62 mm RP-46. The commander turret is stabilized. Sights are 3.75x and 7.5x with no rangefinder.
