The BTR-90 is an Armoured Personnel Carrier developed in Russia in the 1990s, mounting an IFV-style turret with a 30 mm cannon and ATGM on an 8×8 hull. It was never adopted in large numbers by the Russian Army but represented a step toward heavier firepower on APC chassis. The 22 t wheeled vehicle carries a crew of three and seven passengers and is amphibious at 9 km/h. It reaches 100 km/h forward and reverse. The ChTZ 510 diesel produces 510 hp for 23.2 hp/t and an automatic gearbox.
The 30mm 2A42 and 7.62mm PKT are in a stabilized turret with smoke grenades; a 9M113 Konkurs ATGM is also fitted. Sights are 6x for the main gun and 9.5x for the ATGM, without laser rangefinder or thermals. The commander has a stabilized cupola with 5x sight.
This vehicle features three addons: 9M113M Konkurs, Bakhcha-U Weapon System and Berezhok Weapon System. The 9M113M Konkurs upgrade costs 250 points and replaces the stock 9M113 with the 9M113M variant; this introduces a tandem warhead and adds 300 mm of penetration (increasing it from 500 mm to 800 mm). The Bakhcha-U Weapon System costs 1,250 points and replaces the stock turret with that of the BMD-4M. This suite includes a 100mm 2A70 gun/launcher (capable of firing 9M117M1 ATGMs, HE, or HE-Proxy rounds), a 30mm 2A72 autocannon, and a 7.62mm PKT machine gun. Its fire control system (FCS) features a two-plane stabilizer, laser rangefinder, Gen 2 thermals, and lead computation. The Berezhok Weapon System also costs 1,250 points and replaces the turret with that of the BMP-2M, equipping the vehicle with a 30mm 2A42M autocannon, an AG-30 30mm grenade launcher, a 7.62mm PKT, and 9M133 Kornet ATGMs. This system includes a laser rangefinder, Gen 2 thermals, and an advanced FCS with target tracking and lead computation, while the commander receives a CITV with an integrated laser. These addons cannot be used together.
