- Description
- The BTR-4 is an Armoured Personnel Carrier developed by Ukraine in the 2000s, featuring an 8×8 layout, a 30mm 2A72 cannon in a stabilized turret, and optional Stugna-P ATGM. It was designed for troop transport, fire support, and scouting and has been used in Ukrainian service. The 28 t wheeled vehicle carries a driver, gunner, commander, and eight passengers and is amphibious at 4 km/h, with a top speed of 110 km/h. The 3TD-4 diesel produces 600 hp for 21.4 hp/t and an automatic gearbox.
The 30mm 2A72 and 7.62mm PKT are in a stabilized turret with smoke grenades; the Stugna-P is a separate ATGM station. The gunner has a laser rangefinder, Gen 2 thermals, 4x–12x zoom, and FCS with lead.
