- The A7V is a Heavy Tank and Imperial Germany's first operational tank, rushed into production in 1918 from Holt tractor components to give the Army an armoured breakthrough vehicle for the Western Front. Fewer than two dozen saw combat, yet the tall fighting compartment and forward gun house became the enduring image of early German armour. In-game, it is a 30-tonne tracked hull organised around a driver, commander, main gunner, and a cluster of machine-gun stations backed by loaders and ammunition handlers. Twin 2x Daimler-Mercedes diesel engines produce 200 horsepower for roughly 6.7 hp/t, with a top speed of 12 km/h forward and 6 km/h reverse, neutral steering, and a three-speed manual transmission suited to crawling over shell-torn ground.
The main armament is a 57 mm Maxim-Nordenfelt served through a telescope sight without laser ranging or automated fire control. Multiple 7.72 Lewis 1916 machine guns cover the flanks and superstructure; several pintle mounts are stabilised for shooting on the move with short-range optics rather than long-range gunnery aids.
