- Description
- The Jagdpanther is a Tank Destroyer based on the Panther chassis, armed with the long 88mm PaK 43/4 L/71 in a well-sloped casemate. It entered German service in 1944 and was one of the most effective tank destroyers of the war, combining strong frontal armour with a powerful gun. In-game it is a tracked vehicle weighing 46 tonnes with a crew of five, powered by an MB HL230 P30 producing 600 horsepower for 13 hp/t and 46 km/h forward.
The main armament is the 88 mm PaK 43/4 with PzGr 39/43, PzGr 40/43, and Sprgr.43 and a 7.95-second reload; the loader has a grenade mortar for frag and smoke. There is no coaxial machine gun; the gunner uses a 5x telescope with no rangefinder.
