The T-80U is a Main Battle Tank and the definitive late-Soviet evolution of the T-80 series, entering service in the mid-1980s with improved armour, fire control, and the same gas-turbine propulsion that earned the family the nickname "flying tank." Developed at the Kirov Plant and Omsk, the T-80U saw limited production and service with Russian and Ukrainian forces before and after the Soviet collapse. Crewed by three — driver, gunner, and commander — the tracked vehicle weighs 47 tonnes and is powered by a GTD-1250 gas turbine rated at 1,250 horsepower, giving 26.6 hp/t and a top speed of 70 km/h.
The main gun is a stabilized 125mm 2A46M-1 with autoloader, capable of firing 9M119 Refleks ATGMs in addition to APFSDS, HEAT, and HE; fire control includes a laser rangefinder, lead computation, and 2.7x–12x zoom. A coaxial 7.62mm PKT and a commander's 12.7mm NSVT provide close-in defense, and the vehicle is equipped with smoke grenades and an engine smoke system.
This vehicle features two addons: Agava 2 and External Fuel Tanks. The Agava 2 addon costs 250 points and provides the gunner with an additional Gen 1 thermal sight, which aids significantly in target identification despite its lower resolution compared to modern systems. The External Fuel Tanks addon is free and serves a purely aesthetic purpose, mounting decorative fuel barrels to the rear of the hull for a more authentic and rugged battlefield appearance.
