The MT-LB is an Armoured Personnel Carrier, formally Malotiagovoraya Bronirovannaya Lyukovaya ("light armoured towing vehicle"), developed in the Soviet Union in the 1960s as a multi-role tracked platform for towing artillery, carrying infantry, and general logistics. It became one of the most widely used Soviet light armoured vehicles and remains in service in many countries. Weighing 11.5 tonnes, it is crewed by a driver and commander with seating for eight passengers (plus six touch seats) and is fully amphibious at 6 km/h. The YaMZ 238 diesel delivers 240 horsepower for a 20.9 hp/t power-to-weight ratio and a top speed of 62 km/h.
Armament is limited to a commander-operated 7.62mm PKT machine gun in a small turret with 2.6x sight and no rangefinder. The vehicle has an engine smoke system and benefits from neutral steering for manoeuvrability.
This vehicle features two addons: MT-LBVM and Wooden Bed. The MT-LBVM addon costs 150 points and replaces the commander's stock 7.62mm PKT with a 12.7mm NSVT heavy machine gun, significantly improving the vehicle's effectiveness against infantry and obstructing foliage. The Wooden Bed addon is free and replaces the standard supplies with a reinforced wooden platform; this structural modification provides the necessary support for mounting heavy placeables, such as the SPG-9 recoilless rifle or the 122mm D-30 howitzer.
