Description
: The **ZSU-57-2** is a Self Propelled Anti Aircraft vehicle built on a modified T-54 chassis, developed in the Soviet Union in the 1950s to provide mobile air defense with a pair of 57 mm autocannons. It saw widespread export and use in several conflicts, though its lack of radar guidance and limited effectiveness against fast jets led to its replacement by systems such as the ZSU-23-4. In-game it is a tracked vehicle weighing 28 tonnes with a crew of four — driver, gunner, commander, and loader — and is powered by a **V-54** diesel producing 520 horsepower for 18.6 hp/t and a top speed of 50 km/h forward and 7 km/h backward.
Armament consists of the twin **57mm S-68** guns in an open-topped turret with a 1x sight and no stabilizer or modern fire control; the vehicle has no smoke grenades or engine smoke system and relies on mobility and volume of fire.
