The T-72M series was the export version of the Soviet T-72, produced under license by Warsaw Pact and other nations; the M2 30mm configuration represents a later prototype with a single 30 mm cannon instead of the earlier dual 20 mm arrangement. Crewed by three on a 44.5-tonne tracked chassis, it is powered by an **S12U** diesel producing 850 horsepower (19.1 hp/t) and reaches 60 km/h. Main armament is a stabilized **125mm 2A46MS** with autoloader (P99 TAPNA, 3BK12M HEAT, 3OF26 HE), with a laser rangefinder, fire control system, 8x optical sight, and a Gen 2 thermal sight; the 30 mm autocannon and coaxial **7.62mm PKT** provide secondary fire.
