Description
: The **T-54 Obr. 1951** is a Main Battle Tank and the backbone of Soviet and Warsaw Pact armored forces from the late 1940s through the Cold War, with the 1951 production model (Obr. 1951) representing a mature variant with a hemispherical turret and the **100mm D-10T** gun. Designed at the Kharkiv Morozov design bureau as an evolution of the T-44, it became one of the most produced tanks in history. The 35.5-tonne tracked vehicle is crewed by four and powered by a **ChTZ V-54** diesel producing 520 horsepower for 14.6 hp/t and 50 km/h.
Main armament is the **100mm D-10T** with no stabilizer or laser rangefinder; the gunner has 3.5x and 7x magnification. A coaxial **7.62mm SGMT** and a commander- or loader-operated machine gun provide secondary fire. The vehicle has no FCS, APS, or smoke grenades, relying on armour and mobility.
