Description
: The **SU-85M** is a Tank Destroyer, a Soviet assault gun that combined the improved hull of the [T-34-85](/md/rv/vehicles/t-34-85.md) with the **85mm D-5S** gun in a fixed casemate; it served from 1944 as a stopgap until the [SU-100](/md/rv/vehicles/su-100.md) entered production. In-game it is a tracked vehicle weighing 31.6 tonnes, crewed by four — driver, gunner, commander, and loader. The **Model V-2-34** diesel produces 500 hp for 15.8 hp/t and 55 km/h.
Armament is the **85mm D-5S** only — no machine guns — with a simple 2.5x telescope sight and no stabilizer or FCS. The vehicle trades anti-infantry capability for a lower profile and respectable anti-armour performance.
