Description
: The **Object 120** is a Tank Destroyer and a Soviet late-1960s design intended to counter contemporary Western armour such as the M60, mounting a powerful 152mm gun on a relatively light, fast chassis; it remained experimental and did not enter series production. The vehicle is tracked, weighs 27 tonnes, and is crewed by four — driver, gunner, commander, and loader — and is powered by a **ChTZ V-54-105** diesel engine producing 480 horsepower for a 17.8 hp/t power-to-weight ratio and a top speed of 63 km/h forward and 16 km/h in reverse.
The main armament is the **152mm M-69** gun with a 10-second reload and 3BK20, 3BM16, and 3OF31 ammunition in a mechanized and hull rack; there is no coaxial machine gun. The gunner uses a 3.5×–7× sight without a rangefinder, and the main gun has no stabilizer; the commander has a stabilizer and a 5× sight for observation. The vehicle relies on mobility and firepower rather than heavy armour for survival.
