The [M2 Bradley](/md/rv/vehicles/m2a1-bradley.md) entered U.S. service in the 1980s to carry infantry and support them with a 25 mm cannon and TOW missiles; the A4 and E1 variants add reliability and survivability improvements. Weighing 35.9 tonnes, it carries a driver, gunner, commander, and six passengers and is tracked. The **VTA903E-T675** diesel produces 675 horsepower for 18.8 hp/t, 66 km/h top speed, neutral steering, and an automatic transmission. Armament includes the **25 mm M242 Bushmaster** autocannon, a **7.62 mm M240** machine gun, and **BGM-71F TOW 2A/B** ATGMs. The turret has a stabilizer, fire control with lead and tracking, laser rangefinder, and Gen 3 white thermals; the commander has a separate thermal CITV.
