Description
: The **Leopard 2 Giraffe** is a Main Battle Tank in role but functions as a dedicated anti-air and anti-tank missile platform, built on a Leopard 2 hull with a tall turret mounting an **MIM146** launcher (comparable to the ADATS system). The “Giraffe” name refers to its elevated sensor and launcher assembly. In-game it weighs 52 tonnes with a minimal crew of two (driver and gunner) and is tracked. The **MTU MB 873 Ka-501** delivers 1,500 hp for 28.8 hp/t and 72 km/h. The **MIM146** fires in anti-air and anti-tank modes with eight ready rounds and a 20 s reload. The gunner has a laser rangefinder, FCS with lead and tracking, and Gen 1 white thermals; turret traverse is fast (70 deg/s horizontal, 60 deg/s vertical) with wide elevation (-40° to 80°). No cannon or smoke grenades are fitted.
