Description
: The **HSTV-L** (High Survivability Test Vehicle – Light) is a Light Tank, an American 1980s technology demonstrator built to test a low-profile, high-mobility platform with an automatic 75 mm gun for the next-generation light tank requirement. It is a tracked vehicle weighing 20 tonnes with a crew of three — driver, gunner, and commander. The **Lycoming 650** gas turbine produces 650 hp for 32.5 hp/t and a top speed of 83 km/h, with neutral steering.
Primary armament is the **75mm ADMAG** automatic cannon with a stabilizer and smoke grenades; the fire control system includes a laser rangefinder, lead and tracking, and thermals. The vehicle trades armour for speed and firepower.
This vehicle features a single addon: **Bustle Cage**. The Bustle Cage addon is free and attaches a scaffold-like steel cage to the rear of the turret. While it provides no inherent armor benefits, it serves as an auxiliary mounting point, allowing for various placeables to be added.
