Description
: The **FOX-MILAN** is a variant of the [FV721 Fox](/md/rv/vehicles/fv721-fox.md) and is a reconnaissance vehicle. It is a British wheeled armoured car that entered service in the 1970s and was used for scouting and security roles; it replaces the stock 30mm L21A1-equipped turret with one equipped with the **MILAN** ATGM and a 7.62mm L94A1 MG. Weighing 6.1 tonnes with a crew of two—driver and commander—it is highly mobile, with a **Jaguar J.60 No 1 Mk 100B** diesel engine producing 190 hp for 31.1 hp/t and a top speed of 105 km/h in both directions.The commander has the **MILAN 2 ATGM** and coaxial **7.62mm L94A1**, along with smoke grenades and a fire control system; the main sight offers 1x and 8x magnification with no rangefinder. Light armour and a wheeled layout suit it to hit-and-run tactics and reconnaissance rather than sustained combat.
