Team : Schwalbenheim Kingdom # Ersatz M10 Role : Medium Tank ## [General information](/md/rv/vehicles/ersatz-m10.md#general-information) Description : The **Ersatz M10** is a Medium Tank consisting of a German **Panther** (Panzer V) disguised as the American **M10 Wolverine** tank destroyer for use in Operation Greif during the Battle of the Bulge in late 1944. SS commando units under Otto Skorzeny used these “fake” M10s to spread confusion behind Allied lines; the vehicle retained the Panther’s **75 mm KwK 42** L/70 and **Maybach HL230** drivetrain under a modified turret and hull meant to mimic the M10’s silhouette. In-game it is a 44.3 tonne tracked vehicle with a crew of five — driver, gunner, bow gunner, commander, and loader. The **MB HL230 P30** engine delivers 600 horsepower for 13.5 hp/t and a top speed of 46 km/h forward and 3.5 km/h reverse, with neutral steering. Main armament is the **75 mm KwK 42** with Sprgr. 42, PzGr 39/42, and PzGr 40/42, plus coaxial and bow **7.92 mm MG 34** machine guns; the bow gunner position is stabilized. The gunner has a 2.5x/5x telescope sight and no rangefinder.
