Description
: The **BMPT Terminator** is a Fire Support Vehicle developed by Russia to accompany tanks in urban and complex terrain, engaging infantry, soft targets, and light armour that main guns cannot effectively address. The concept emerged from lessons of urban combat in the late 1990s and early 2000s; the vehicle uses a T-72-derived chassis to carry a heavily armed turret with dual 30 mm cannons and ATGMs. Operated by a crew of five — driver, gunner, commander, and two passengers manning grenade launchers — the 48 t tracked hull is powered by a **V-92S2** diesel producing 1,000 hp (20.8 hp/t) for a top speed of 60 km/h.
The gunner turret mounts twin **30mm 2A42M** autocannons (AP and HE), a **7.62mm PKT** machine gun, and **9M120 Ataka** anti-tank guided missiles, with a stabilizer, laser rangefinder, fire control system with lead and tracking, and Gen 2 thermals; the commander has a separate CITV with laser and thermals. Two roof-mounted **30mm AGS-17** grenade launchers provide additional suppressive fire. Defensive equipment includes a laser warning system, smoke grenades, and an engine smoke system.
This vehicle features a single addon: **Model 2025 Armor Kit**. Costing 250 points, this addon applies 12 ERA bags to the hull sides. This provides a marginal increase in survivability against incoming ATGMs.
