Description
: The **AMX-10RC** is a wheeled Tank Destroyer and reconnaissance vehicle in service with the French Army and several export customers since the late 1970s. Designed for rapid deployment and long-range fire support, it combines a 105 mm gun with a compact, amphibious 6×6 hull; it saw combat in Chad, the Gulf War, and more recently in Mali. The vehicle weighs 16 tonnes and is crewed by four — driver, gunner, commander, and loader — with amphibious capability at 4 km/h. A **6F11 SRX** diesel produces 280 horsepower for 17.5 hp/t and a top speed of 85 km/h in both directions, with an automatic transmission, neutral steering, and active suspension for ride height and attitude control.
Main armament is the **105mm Giat G2** (or **105mm Modele F2** in some loadouts) with HE, HEAT, APFSDS, and smoke rounds, plus a coaxial **7.62mm A-A-F1N** machine gun. The gunner has a laser rangefinder, fire control system with lead, and a thermal sight (Gen 1 white-hot); the commander and loader have stabilized cupolas with laser rangefinder and 2x/8x zoom. Smoke grenades round out the defensive fit.
This vehicle features a single addon: **AMX-10RCR**. This addon costs 500 points and provides additional smoke grenades for improved concealment; however, it adds 1 t of weight, slightly reducing the vehicle's power-to-weight ratio.
