Description
: The **T26E4 Super Pershing** is a Heavy Tank and upgunned variant of the [T26 Pershing](/md/mtc/vehicles/m26-pershing.md); a few vehicles were sent to Europe in 1945 with the long **90mm T15E1** gun and extra frontal armour to engage heavy German tanks. Weighing 49.9 tonnes with a five-man crew, it is powered by a **Ford GAF** engine producing 500 horsepower for 10 hp/t and reaches 40 km/h forward and 13 km/h in reverse.
Main armament is the 90 mm T15E1 with a 15-second reload and T41, T42, and T44 ammunition; secondary weapons include a coaxial **.30 cal M1919**, a commander’s **12.7mm M2**, and a bow **.30 cal M1919**. The commander and bow positions are stabilized; the gunner has a 5x telescope and a 1x/6x periscope but no rangefinder. The Super Pershing traded mobility and rate of fire for superior penetration against thick armour.
