Team : Eagle Federation # M6A2 Role : Heavy Tank ## [General information](/md/mtc/vehicles/m6a2.md#general-information) Description : The **M6A2** is a Heavy Tank, the production-standard version of the US **M6** heavy tank developed during the Second World War. The M6 was designed to complement the M4 Sherman with heavier armour and a 76 mm main gun, but only a small number were built and it never saw combat. The 56.8-tonne tracked vehicle is crewed by six — driver, gunner, bow gunner, commander, loader, and one passenger — and is powered by a **Wright R-1820-G-200** gasoline engine producing 960 hp for 16.9 hp/t and a top speed of 35 km/h. The turret mounts a stabilized **76mm M7** and a **37mm M6** in a dual-purpose arrangement, with a **12.7mm M2** in the commander's cupola and another in the driver's position; the bow gunner operates a **.30 cal M1919**. Sights are 3x and 1.8x with no rangefinder. Neutral steering aids manoeuvre despite the vehicle's weight.
