Description
: The **M36B2 Jackson** is a Tank Destroyer that mounts the same 90 mm M3 gun and open turret as the M36 Jackson on a diesel-powered hull. The B2 designation reflects the use of the **GM 6046** twin-diesel engine (as on the M4A2 Sherman), giving improved range and simplifying logistics in late-war and post-war use. The vehicle weighs 29.9 tonnes and is crewed by five: driver, gunner, bow gunner, commander, and loader. The **GM 6046** produces 410 horsepower for 13.7 hp/t and a top speed of 48 km/h.
Main armament is the **90 mm M3** with AP, APCR, and HEAT (M348); a cupola **12.7 mm M2** provides anti-aircraft and local defense. The commander’s station has a stabilizer; the gunner uses a 4x/8x telescope with no rangefinder.
