Description
: The **IS-6** is a Heavy Tank, a Soviet prototype design from 1944 that sought to combine the firepower of the IS-2 with improved armour and a new electrical transmission; the project was cancelled after trials revealed serious ergonomic and reliability issues, and only a handful were built. In-game it is a heavily armored tracked vehicle weighing 51.1 tonnes, crewed by four — driver, gunner, commander, and loader. The **V-2-12** diesel produces 700 horsepower for a 13.7 hp/t power-to-weight ratio and a top speed of 44 km/h forward and 17.1 km/h in reverse.
Primary armament is the **122mm D-30T** cannon, with a coaxial **7.62mm DT-28** and a loader-operated **12.7mm DSHK** on a stabilized cupola for anti-aircraft and close defense. The gunner has a 4x telescope sight with no rangefinder or fire control system.
